ADHD Awareness Month Wrap Up
BOOK A FREE RESET ADHD SESSION FOR #ADHDAWARENESSMONTH
Well, folks, here we are. We have reached the tail end of another ADHD Awareness month. It has been a journey for all of us. We have been pushing things hard here at Reset ADHD, and I hope you have enjoyed all of the content we have been putting out there. It is always a crazy time for those of us in the ADHD community, but we have all survived. And, our work goes on, for ADHD awareness is not just for the month of October.
ADHD Awareness Is Not Just for October
If we are to make strides in helping those with ADHD get diagnosed and get proper treatment, we must stay vigilant and keep the awareness level up. If we only make noise about ADHD one month per year, people will not take ADHD seriously. We need to continue to spread awareness of this condition that does have serious consequences if left untreated.
A Reminder of the Importance of ADHD Awareness
ADHD awareness is important because of the dire consequences of ignoring ADHD. Life expectancy goes down when ADHD is left untreated. Moreover, the rate of ADHD in prisons is much higher than it is in the general population. Lastly, untreated ADHD leads to risky behaviors and self-medicating with illicit substances. In short, society is better and safer when there is greater ADHD awareness.
Next Up for Reset ADHD
You may be wondering what is next for Reset ADHD now that ADHD Awareness month is reaching its end. We plan to keep pushing the ADHD awareness side of things, but we are also exploring new ways of growing. Coaching will continue, and we’re continuing to produce courses. We’re also growing the community side of things for support. We hope to see you in our online communities.
It is also worth noting that Reset ADHD will have a presence at the 2023 International Conference on ADHD in Baltimore November 30 – December 2. We hope to see you there.
